Desert Rain Midwifery fully supports your autonomy in this realm and understands that each individual has a unique approach to family planning. Our role is to make sure you understand your fertility, address misinformation, and provide evidence-based options regardless of where you are at in your family planning process. We do not push any agenda. We are here to support your decisions around family planning.

Cycle Tracking

We are not experts in cycle tracking and there are numerous methods in existence. We are happy to share with you evidence around effectiveness of cycle tracking and things to consider when breastfeeding and cycle tracking.

Pregnancy Spacing

If you are unsure when you want to plan your next baby, we can review with you evidence-based recommendations for pregnancy spacing to optimize health of the mother/birthing person and reduce risk to your next pregnancy.

I’m Pregnant and I Don’t Want To or Can’t Be

Desert Rain Midwifery fully respects you as the expert in your own body and life. If you find yourself pregnant and cannot continue the pregnancy, we will discuss options with you and refer you to a provider who specializes in the medical care you need. Our midwives can provide any necessary aftercare, emotional and psychological support, and family planning services.
